Fast Remesher — production-safe deterministic retopology for Blender

Fast Remesher isn't built around one remeshing trick — it's built around never handing you back a broken mesh. Every run is deterministic (same input, same output, every time), and every result is validated before it reaches you. If a remesh would silently damage your source, Fast Remesher rejects it and restores your untouched original instead of shipping you a bad result.

Hard Surface — Auto mode does the thinking for you Analyzes local curvature and picks the right approach per-region: restoring triangulated authored topology back into clean quads on curved panels, completing quads locally where safe, and falling back to careful planar simplification on flat mechanical surfaces. Real crease protection on panel seams, bevels, wheel-arch transitions, and sharp features — not a blanket "preserve everything" that also preserves noise.

Organic — density you actually control QuadriFlow-driven, with density derived from real world-space surface area rather than an arbitrary face count you have to calculate yourself. Falls back to a robust voxel method automatically if QuadriFlow struggles on difficult input.

Garment / Open Mesh — built for clothing, not bolted on A dedicated mode (bundled Instant Meshes backend) for open shells and thin garment geometry, where hard-surface and organic approaches both fall short.

What actually survives the remesh UV maps (UDIM-aware), material slots and per-face assignments, vertex groups, skin weights, color attributes, custom normals, armature relationships, transforms, and your existing modifier stack. Shape keys are intentionally not silently claimed as preserved — retopology breaks vertex correspondence, so that would be a lie; there's an explicit opt-in if you're okay losing them.

A real safety net, not just a remesh button Preflight inspection before you commit, one-click restore to the original untouched mesh, and a live preview for hard-surface mode that runs the exact same decision logic as the final result — no surprises between what you previewed and what you got.

v1.0 scope Windows x64 only for this release (Instant Meshes for macOS/Linux ships once those platforms are tested).
